Erotic stumbling block

You know, I never realized just how hard it would be to write erotic stories. Something in the back of my mind said, how hard can it be? How wrong I was.

I have manged to flow with my writing up to the point of being currently half way through my erotic romance novel - I haven't got a title for it, as yet, but that will come when it is finished. Now, I have reached a point that I am stuck. My characters have taken on a mind of their own, and are refusing to listen to me at the moment. I spent a good portion of my time yesterday explaining a scene in an office. My main protagonist is working late with a colleague, and one thing leads to another - well, you can guess where the scene is going, but I have reached the point with my main character that, as I am writing, her personality is taking over, and I rambled on for several pages on whether she wanted sex in her office - giving several reasons why this would be wrong. I even took a page to explain just how much she was enjoying her cup of coffee. By the looks of my writing yesterday, I am not in an erotic place right now - and neither are my characters!

So, rather than sit and procrastinate until I get an idea, I am turning to my erotic short stories for a time, until I can re-focus myself and continue with my novel. I enjoy writing short stories, as it takes my mind away from what I was doing - giving me a little break to re-group my thoughts.

what I am currently doing

I have been writing my erotic book for some time now, and I am really enjoying the whole writing process. I have always enjoyed writing, and used to work as a freelance writer, before getting a full time job. I have since began working from home again, and I am now enjoying the freedom that being a writer gives you.

I decided to write my own erotic novel as I have found myself reading a lot of erotic novels lately, and have really enjoyed them. So, I wanted to try my own, and see if I had the talent to be able to write erotic stories. I have written romance in the past ,so it seemed like the next natural step forward. It has been a huge learning curve to begin with, as some days I can write all day - non-stop - but other days it can be so hard to get myself going, especially if I am having a particularly down day, and don't feel sexy in any way.

At the moment, I am about 3/4 of the way through my book, and I am hoping to have it finished soon - fingers crossed. I will start to publish snippets on here and through my twitter page very soon.

Finally set up my blog page

Well, it has taken me a few months to get around to it, but I have finally set up my very own blog. Hopefully after all the hassle I have been through, trying to get a blog to work, that I actually have something interesting to write...but only time will tell : )

I originally tried setting up a Wordpress page, but after weeks of me trying to edit the page, and make it a little bit more 'me,' I finally realized that you cannot edit Wordpress with your own backgrounds until you buy their full program. Plus, I had managed to put my own background on, but my blog text was then invisible, and I couldn't get this changed. So, defeated, I turned to weebly instead. This seemed to be just the same. I still couldn't figure out how to edit the whole site. Now, I know that I am not the best person in the world when it comes to computers or any type of gadgets, for that matter, but both blog sites seemed unbelievably hard to use.

Finally, I stumbled upon Blogger, and it has been such an easy, straightforward set-up. I only wish I had found this first, and saved myself a lot of time
